No Worries Be Happy

The No Worries Work Your Way kit is ready for your beachy vacation pictures. Relaxing under the palm trees, your toes nestled in the warm sand, soft puffy clouds in the sky-I'm getting sleepy already!

I took the suggested layouts in the kit instructions and made some easy changes to add to the interest. I also cut the palm tree paper to get more us of it instead of using both pages as the total background.

Here are some of my ideas with some close-ups of the detail:

  • The Panama hat was a picture from Google that I cut out to use as a template. I cut a thin strip of the tiny palm tree paper for the band.
Here is the second layout:

Here is my third and favorite layout:

The clouds were again cut with the Artistry Cricut cartridge and distressed in Whisper ink with a sponge. I added a silver ling to one of my clouds using the silver glitter paper and the seagulls were made with my silver metallic marker. A piece of Lagoon cardstock was ripped to show the white core and a zip strip from cut from the No Worries paper is below the water (it's coral)!

My Scrapping Club Room

Thought I'd give you a tour of my somewhat newly renovated, formerly guest room, scrapbook club meeting room. My clubs, either scrapbook or card making, meet monthly with their friends to create, socialize and generally have fun while being productive.

Here's the overall tour:

And a close up view:

Close To My Heart has 4 groups of  color:

  • Basic-black, grays, browns, tans

  • Adventure-darker shades of purple, blues, yellows, oranges, pinks, reds

  • Enchantment-vibrant shades of the above named colors

  • Whimsy-pastels of the above colors

This is the cabinet that holds all the
Close To My Heart Cricut cartridges.
I also have the Thin Cuts and
embossing folders for my
Cricut Cuttlebug (not shown).

Here is my first Cricut. It is manual and very easy for anyone to use. Since space is at a premium, the Explore is next door in my office.
This is Ginger's corner. She has to be close to all the ladies when they come to her house!
My Bulletin Board has all the info about Operation Smile, CTMH's charity that goes abroad to fix cleft palates, changing a child's life forever. There is also the Stamp of the Month (SOM) picture with examples along with any other Monthly Specials taking place.

Hope you enjoyed the tour!

Sea Glass Cards

It's the wood and Sea Glass combination again. It just works so nicely together. The combo works well for masculine cards or for those that are outside types. So, I was inspired by another consultant cards. I also got a chance to use the new Hearts, Stars, Hello and Thanks Thin Cuts.

Easy Peasy Cardstock or Paper Organization

I found a new (to me at least) easy way to organize all that cardstock from the wonderful people at Stamp and Storage. Each rack holds 22 12 x 12 hanging folders. This allows me to put 2 of the color families or groups in each rack with a couple of slots leftover. My wonderful husband hung thes on the wall for me using the enclosed instructions. Warning each rack needs to be a tad further apart than the instructions say. Just use one of the hanging folders to determine the width of the 2nd rack so you have a free sliding folder.

This is how they look:

Here is a close-up of the labeling:

Here is a side view to show you the depth is approximately 6":

I am a happy scrapper!!
