    A Fold-Out Card or Mini Album-You Choose!

    Team Time

We had a team meeting yesterday with our wonderful upline Janene. The day was beautiful (sunny & 81) and the group was fun. Our leader was in her typical form, full of smiles, encouragement and information.

    Here we are:
    Scrappy Gals!

We made the cutest card/mini album with Janene. So perfect for Easter pictures, or a Birthday or Mother's Day card or even Father's Day with a little more masculine papers.

Here it is using different papers:
The different papers are Confetti, Seaside, Brushed and Seaside

Here it is closed with one of my fave vellum stickers from the Brushed Complements:

    Yay! for you

Dizzy Circles Stamp Set and A Color My Heart Color Dare

    Color Dare 134

The 5 Close to My Heart colors:
    • Cotton Candy
    • Olive
    • Lagoon
    • Black and
    • White Daisy

I used our Dot embossing folder on 3 pieces of cardstock, lagoon, olive, and cotton candy 1 1/4" X  4". I then lightly sanded each piece to show the white core of our cardstock. The card is a white daisy card from the value pack of 50 cards and envelopes X254 for $14.95. The black cardstock background was cut to 4 X 5 1/4 and attached to the front. Then the 3 color strips with a banner cut at one end. The white cardstock was stamped with the larger circle in Olive ink z2137. The 2nd circle was stamped in Cotton Candy ink z2193 and cut out and attached with a foam tape The third circle was stamped in Lagoon ink z2195 and also cut out and attached with foam tape. The white cardstock 3 5/8 X 2 1/4 was attached to Black Glitter Paper z1829 2 1/2 X 3 3/4. There are 2 pieces 5/8" Teal Shimmer tape Z1918. The greeting is stamped with black ink.

    What a cute stamp set:

    Getting Ready for Easter!

Easter decor at the entrance to my home is going to continue in the theme that I started this year which is a collage.  So here is the start of my Easter decorations:

As you can see the colors are not the usual Easter pastels that I love. This is a Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge to use the Close To My Heart colors from the Wanderful paper packet and Wanderful Workshop On The Go. The colors used in the kit are:
    • Smoothie
    • Honey
    • Gypsy
    • Crystal Blue
    • Black
    • Flaxen
    • Colonial White

    How I put it together:

    Wanderful Workshop On The Go

The Wanderful Workshop On The Go kit itself is definitely for your travel pictures. Here is the kit that I created using the WOTG guide:

Here is a layout I created as an additional set to go with the first layout. Like I said these layouts are perfect for your travels. My problem is we don't do a lot of traveling, so when we do get to do some traveling, and I don't mean 100 miles from my house, I'll have the pages to accommodate our pictures. Then I'll be like my friends that were in Belize, Hawaii, Florida... I'm not bitter, really...

    Happy Travels to You!!!

Black & White & Whisper Gray

What's black and white and gray all over?

It's a card I made for a color challenge but life got a little too exciting this week and I didn't get it written up on my blog till now, 30 minutes after the challenge ended.

I'll try another color challenge for next week though. I must say I like this idea. I found this Color Dare Challenge blog and scoped it out and decided I really liked having colors picked out then seeing what I could come up with. So here it is:

    • This is pretty simple, meaning there isn't much layering to the card.
    • But it did make me pull out my White Daisy pigment based ink, which I don't use a lot. This pigment based ink is thicker than our usual water based inks and has kind of a chalky look to it on the Black cardstock 1386, which I like.
    • The cardstock itself is Whisper Gray X5929 and was cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge Z1686
    • It's hard to tell but the center of the card is a cut out with the black cardstock cut in the same shape is on the inside of the card.
    • The little tear drops in each of the corners are cut outs with a piece of White Daisy  cardstock 1385 glued onto the back of those areas.
    • The stamped images are from the Happy To Be Friends C1605 stamp set.
    • The flowers are also stamped in White Daisy from the same stamp set.
    • I embellished the flower centers with the Black and Gray Sparkles Z1754.
    • The black stripe is the Black Shimmer Tape Z1809.

March 17th is St. Patrick's Day

    I Love Green

Didn't you have fun as a kid wearing green for St. Patrick's Day?! You didn't want to get pinched (not sure what that was about) so you tried to wear something, anything green. It was fun. Then as you got older there were the parades and green beer. Rivers are turned green, there are pots of gold at the end of the rainbows. AND there is the promise of spring at the end of a very long winter at the end of March.

So in the spirit of St. Patrick, I continued my collage theme from February. Any of your extra papers with green in them can be ripped and stuck onto a clover cut-out, 4-leaf of course!!

    Here's mine:

This is taking the place of the collage heart I made last month. I am keeping these home decor items to use again or even stick in one of my albums. The only current things I used here is the green Washi tape and the gold shimmer tape and the green glitter paper and the shamrock was cut with the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge on page 8. Making a fun simple project like this is a good way of using some leftover paper and embellishments that are sitting around taking up space. Do something with them or consider making a donation to your local Children's hospital or a local children's shelter. They will appreciate it I can assure you. I donated some old products to our high school art teacher. She got happy feet!!

Make yourself Happy by making something fun and pretty and donating to a children's group. Guaranteed to make you feel all good inside. WooHoo ;-)
