An Autumn Card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 438

 Autumn is close and I am ready for pumpkin pie! I use the new Pumpkin Spice papers from Close To My Heart to create it for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 438. To add interest I used a wood slate embossing folder, distressed the edges with Toffee ink, then sanded over the raised areas. I used stickers for the sentiment (so easy) and a sticker pumpkin pie. The challenges are fun to do and give you ideas for other cards and other papers. You can see the process video below.

Using Your Old Stash and New Stuff for a Color Dare 461 Challenge

 I used a lot of discontinued products to make the card. The sunburst die cut has been sitting on my work area waiting for the perfect place. When I went to find my watercolor paper I found a pack of Picture My Life cards cut from watercolor cardstock with resistance patterns on them. Going through them I found hearts to go with the hearts on the sunburst paper. This is too perfect! I picked 4 Distress Oxide colors to go with the Color My Heart Color Dare 461 color wheel challenge. This is #2 of the Double Complementary Rectangle combinations that you can form. You must use the four corner colors of the rectangle. The stamp is from one of the Craft With heart Card Subscriptions. It was also perfect! Sometimes the planets align!!! Hope you enjoy my video. The Oxide goes on watercolor paper like "Butta".

Holly & Ivy Workshop Our New Christmas Paper Layouts

I'm getting ready for the Christmas Holidays with our new workshop Holly & Ivy. (I've also started on cards with the most recent Craft With Heart card subscription. I'll probably still be doing last minute stuff!) I love the foliage that is used on the layouts. The deer are beautiful and I love the die cut compliments (see below) of red glitter paper bows and pointsettias, deep green textured holly leaves, and the thick textured kraft-like paper deer and pointsettias. I had not yet received the white gel pen so I'm substituting a gold marker.

You can probably do this quicker if you watch where I stumbled. You can learn from my oopsies and so a better job! This is a combination of birthday, Christmas, thank you cards.
