Christmas Card for Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge 550!

Easy Christmas Cards 4 Different Looks-One Embossing Folder& Stencils

I took the Close To My Heart Christmas Floral folder and stencils and made 4 different cards. The embossing folder makes it so easy to create a lovely card in itself. The stencils take the embossed card to a higher level. The best part is the coloring is so easy to do with ink pads and blending brushes. The 1st card uses the Atlantic Hear Sketch Challenge 548 and Color My Heart Color Dare 571 to make a B & W and Candy Apple red card. I just went on from there to show how versatile you can be with a folder and coordinating stencils. Colors Used-Scarlet, Candy Apple, Pine, Jade

An Easy Card to Make That Works for Many Occasions

 The card I'm making today is a combination of two challenges, Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge 547 and Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge 570. For the many vertical strips I used Shimmer Trim in 4 colors. I used Close To My Heart's Journey, Mink, Glacier, and Ballerina for the Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge 570. I colored White Shimmer Trim from my stash with a sponge daubers and ink pads according to the challenge. The outer edge of the card is a piece of Majestic Holographic 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. The black background for the stripes is 5 1/4 x 4". The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the All The Best Wishes stamp and thin cut set and I placed it on a piece of white glitter cardstock from our Specialty Papers. The sequins were from my stash.

Get Ready for Christmas-Make Your Cards Now!

 This card was made using the Close To My Heart Home for Christmas papers. The Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 546 made this card so easy to create. Four strips of various widths less than 1" were cut and dove tailed. The strips are overlapping. The white background was cut to 4" x 5 1/4" and the Candy Apple background under the base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. A discontinued thin cut Merry Christmas is inside.

Boo To You-A Halloween Card

 I wanted to use the color challenge from Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge again, just cause I love it!

So here is the CDC 569 color combo:

The colors I used were from the Distress Oxides, Candy Apple, Mustard Seed, and Spiced Marmalade.

The stamp set is from my stash. I have no idea how old it is but it is pretty old!!!

It is called Captured Moments.

A Challenge Card for the Fall-CTMH Cosette Stamps & Thin Cuts with Autumn Colors

 This is a combination of 2 challenges. The Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge 545 and the Color My Heart Color Challenge 569. I used the Cosette Card Stamp set and coordinating Thin Cuts. I stamped with Intense Black Ink so I could color the die cuts with my Tri Blend alcohol markers.

Combine Challenges- Make a Card and Watch What Happens!!!

 Combining Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 541 and Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge 564 produce this card:

My card was made with all discontinued products. It's important to use our supplies so instead of pulling out the new colors, I used my stash.

This is not a color combo I've used before so I stepped out of my box and I really like the look. It has a fall feel to me. The gold foil and purple shimmer trim added a bit of glitz. White embossing powder for the Happy Birthday sentiment popped!

The stamp set I used is

Using the "Trapped Color" Embossing Technique to Make Cards

 Trapped color is a new to me technique that I decided to try, to my delight. It involves putting color down on cardstock. 

• I used Distress Oxides and a rainbow colors in a diagonal on a piece of 4 x 5 1/4 white cardstock. 
• I then took a detailed lacelike stencil and taped it over the color. 
• Using my versamark ink pad I pressed it generously over the stencil being careful to not move the stencil at all. 
• Carefully removed the stencil pulling the cardstock away and not brush it in anyway to disrupt the ink. 
• I put it in my powder tray and generously sprinkled clear embossing powder over the entire card front.
• Shake the cardstock to evenly distribute the powder
• Shake the excess powder off onto the tray and return it to the jar.
• Take a heater and completely melt the embossing grains till all the covered areas are shiny. 
• Let oxide inks dry before taking Intense Black ink and a blending brush and go over the entire card front filling in the non embossed areas. 
• Wipe off excess black ink.

Here is the result:  

• Using my Multi Square Window Thin Cut I cut a black overlay and mounted both onto White Glitter Cardstock.
• A 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 piece of glitter cardstock was cut and a piece of 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 black cardstock was cut. 
• A sentiment was embossing on the black with white embossing powder and heated till it melted. The stamp set used was from Harvest Blessings.
• The 2nd picture shows the same treatment without any of the  Intense Black ink on it.
• The 3rd picture shows the finished card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 540 Using the Hey Friend Stamp Set.

Flowers Are Like Friends-An Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 538

  Here is another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for a super easy card to make using the Flowers Are Like Friends stamp set. Another versatile and easy to make card! This is challenge 538. I used an A2 card-5 1/2" x 4 1/4". After stamping the floral part of the set in Intense Black ink, I colored the flowers and grasses with the Tri-Blend Markers listed below.
