Card Challenges from Mojo Monday and Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Here are the two sketch challenges I used to create my cards this week. The first is from Mojo Monday and to make the creating as easy as possible, Julee notes the size of the pieces on the sketch.

The second sketch is the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

The cutting and pasting is up to me! I've made it pretty easy on myself to create these cards!!

I always like to use a "signature" stamp on the back of my cards. My "Hallmark" stamp, if you will. This one is an exclusive stamp that is only available as a Hostess Reward stamp when you have a party that is $150 or more. If you have an order that is going to be at least $150, I can set up a party for you to be able to get this stamp or any of the other Hostess Rewards.

The Supplies I used:

The Border Thin Cuts is an especially versatile and useful thin cut. Here's a view of all that is included in this set:

Hope you like the cards!!

Thanks,

I love the April 2019 Stamp of the Month! First of all, let me show you why I love it.

Scrapbook Challenge and Two Results

Creative Scrapbook Magazine offers a scrapbook challenge every month on their Facebook Creative Magazine's Sketchy Group.
Here's the link:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/2164958267106146/

and the sketch I worked from:

This first layout I created using the Something Fierce papers and complements (current catalog good till April 30th 2019). We have a Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, TX. The dinos roamed here and left their foot steps in the mud. The mud in TX can hardened into something like cement (gardening isn't easy in TX). The wonderful thing is your kids can sit in these footprints and you get GREAT pictures. There's a river close by that also has many different dino prints in it. The river is usually shallow and you can walk around seeing all the different types of dinos. It makes for a great day with the kids and wonderful pictures.

I did a second layout that is a little more grown up (whatever that is). For this one I used one of my favorite color combos, red, white and black. This layout uses the Mix-in papers also from our current catalog.

The little embellishments are from my stash in the Wayback Machine. Not sure what pictures I'll put on this but something will show up.

Supplies:
  1. Something Fierce kit
  2. Mix-in papers
  3. Shimmer Trim black

So Much Happy Papers for the Texas Blues

This is the last of my layouts using So Much Happy papers. This layout is for Texas blue bonnet flowers. The papers are only available till April 30th 2019. I'm using them to start creating travel layouts for our RV road trips. The layout is from the my Make It From the Heart vol 1 book with the help of the "Hello USA" Cricut cartridge. How perfect to have all the states with the logos and state flower. I decided I will be making an album using all the states so we can check them off after a visit. I love the font on this cartridge for the names of the states! With all the elements, there are 5 layers for Texas but the digital cartridge makes it so easy do.

Here is my close up of Texas:

An Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Using So Much Happy Papers

I am still using the So Much Happy papers. This time I did the sketch 310 from the Atlantic Hearts. I do like this sketch and because of the leaf fronds, I got encouraged to look at my Flower Market Cricut cartridge to see what I could find. That's what I love about the challenges. Not only do they give you a pattern to create something but in the pattern are elements to seek out in your stash. It could be a stamp or stickers or die cuts or in this case for me, one of my cartridges. So thank you Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for the encouragement to stretch some. Maybe you should call yourselves the Atlantic Hearts Stretch Challenge!!! ;-)

More So Much Happy and Off We Go!

Here is my second travel layout using the So Much Happy Scrapbooking Workshop kit. I basically followed the instructions in the guide for this layout.
There are some perfect diecuts and cutouts for a travel layout so I am taking advantage of that to continue to create pages for a travel album.

The You Are Here Cricut cartridge is perfect to help me make the pages. It's a great cartridge that gives almost any kind of vacationing activities and places to visit cuts. The National Parks are well represented in our cartridges which is great because they are on our bucket list.

Here are some of the supplies I used:

  1. You Are Here Cricut cartridge
  2. Artbooking Cricut cartridge
  3. So Much Happy Workshop
  4. Aluminum Rail Paper Cutter
  5. MicroTip Scissors

So Much Happy-Road Trip!

This is another layout using the So Much Happy Scrapbooking Workshop kit. I decided to come up with my own design and not go by all the instructions in the guide for this layout. I've also decided to start making an album of travel layouts for Jim's and my RV trips. Jim has the RV almost completed with all the changes he wanted to get done before any big trips. The last thing is installing solar panels on the roof.

The You Are Here Cricut cartridge will be perfect to help me make the pages. It's a great cartridge that gives almost any kind of vacationing activities and places to visit cuts. National Parks, Eiffel Tower, Sydney Opera House, Big Ben, four wheeling, mountain climbing, you name it!

Here are some of the supplies I used:

  1. You Are Here Cricut cartridge
  2. Artbooking Cricut cartridge
  3. So Much Happy Workshop
  4. Aluminum Rail Paper Cutter
