A Rainbow Sunburst Layout-Vintage 60's-70's

I was inspired by a layout on page 31 of the March-April 2020 Close To My Heart catalog. It's a sunburst with rainbow paper as the rays. We have a stamp and thincut set that has a vintage VW bus with lots of flowers, hearts and music symbols. It's so 60's-70's. So cute!! The sunburst overlay is from the Artbooking collection that can be purchased on dorothy.ctmh.com and clicking on the Cricut tab at the bottom of the front page. The papers I used for this project are discontinued, but any color palette can be used.

My interpretation of the layout:

A New Sketchy Challenge at NFM with a Life Size Shaq, FUN!

Oh this was fun! My son wanted to look at furniture one Sunday morning, so it became a family outing. We had some fun trying out lounge chairs and sofas with him. We looked at TVs, of course, then some appliances, electronics, all those Nebraska Furniture Mart things. Imagine our surprise when we came across a life size cutout of Shaq! We had fun!! I had such a good time creating this page! That's the fun part of scrapbooking. You get to relive the fun times over and over.

Making Your Own Stencils for Cardmaking

I created a card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 363. The colors I chose came from Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge 388. Using Cricut Design Space and my purchased images from the Everyday Moments Cricut collection, I downsized the background doily that is part of the image after ungrouping the entire image. I used a soft brush to apply the Smoothie ink onto the front of the 4.25 x 5.5 card. The strip is 1" wide and the rectangles are 2 x 3.

Supplies:

  1. Stencil Sheets
  2. Everyday Moments Cricut Collection
  3. Wild and Punny Thin Cut and Stamp set
  4. TriBlend Markers
  5. Mix-in Paper
  6. Smoothie Ink Pad
  7. Intense Black Ink Pad

Seas the Day Cardmaking Workshop kit

The Seas the Day card workshop has a beach feel. The cards work well for greeting cards for men or women. They are whimsical and fun. The kit comes with thin cuts that coordinate with a stamp set. These cute cards are filled with detail and interest.

Supplies:
  1. Seas the Day Cardmaking Workshop
  2. Sapphire Ink Pad
  3. Smoothie Ink Pad
  4. Mink Ink Pad
  5. Adhesives
These cards will work well for sending to friends and relatives that you can't see during the Covid 19 times. Consider this especially for the elderly that won't be able to get out or have visitors. I'm sure there are many lonely people out there.

Thanks!
