A Sympathy Card for the a Challenge

The Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 318 and the Color My Heart Color Dare 343 are combined for a Sympathy card for a sweet scrapbooking and crafter extraordinaire friend who recently lost her sweet husband. What a lovely couple! They exemplified what every couple should try to be. So loving. I know he will be sadly missed by my friend.

The most recent sketch gave me a pattern to use for her card. The Color My Heart Color Dare gave me the palette. Thanks to both challenges!!

Here is my card:

and card and envelope:

The sentiment is actually on white cardstock. It loooks like there is a slight green tinge to it. Sorry I couldn't quite get the color right.

Flower Garden Embossing Folder
Thin Cuts Stitched Oval
True Love Coordinating cardstock
The stitched flower and lace border are out of stock now but will be available in July 2019.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Very pretty! I love all the textures with the embossed background and the pretty lace border. What a clever idea to put the sentiment in the center of the flower. Thank you for playing along with us at Color Dare!

  2. Love the choice of border behind the flower and those stitched flower dies are so terrific! Thanks for sharing with both Atlantic Hearts and Colour Dare :)

  3. Lovely card, Dot! Nice texture and such a pretty die cut behind the stitched flower. Thank you for playing along at Color My Heart Color Dare #343.

  4. I'm am so sorry to hear about your friend. I am positive she will love the card you made. Thank you for sharing your creation at the Color My Heart Color Dare blog. 💙☕MissCarrie
