What's black and white and gray all over?
It's a card I made for a color challenge but life got a little too exciting this week and I didn't get it written up on my blog till now, 30 minutes after the challenge ended.
I'll try another color challenge for next week though. I must say I like this idea. I found this Color Dare Challenge blog and scoped it out and decided I really liked having colors picked out then seeing what I could come up with. So here it is:
- This is pretty simple, meaning there isn't much layering to the card.
- But it did make me pull out my White Daisy pigment based ink, which I don't use a lot. This pigment based ink is thicker than our usual water based inks and has kind of a chalky look to it on the Black cardstock 1386, which I like.
- The cardstock itself is Whisper Gray X5929 and was cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge Z1686.
- It's hard to tell but the center of the card is a cut out with the black cardstock cut in the same shape is on the inside of the card.
- The little tear drops in each of the corners are cut outs with a piece of White Daisy cardstock 1385 glued onto the back of those areas.
- The stamped images are from the Happy To Be Friends C1605 stamp set.
- The flowers are also stamped in White Daisy from the same stamp set.
- I embellished the flower centers with the Black and Gray Sparkles Z1754.
- The black stripe is the Black Shimmer Tape Z1809.
